Good Looks Entertainment is a space for creatives to do their thing. We operate as both an indie record label, and a boutique management agency.
Label
As a label, we’re focused on high quality, small scale releases. We are multi-genre, multi-medium & we work with small teams in Bristol, New York & Osaka. We tailor each release to the whims of the artist, but try not to take on more releases than we can handle.
With that in mind, whilst we might not be able to accomodate label services for all clients, if we’re a good fit - we can help on the management side.
MGMT
As a management agency, we book gigs, create networks and build proper infrastructure around artists. We take 10% of any deals we land or gigs we book, and that’s it.
Foundation
Founded by Jai Widdowson-Jones, a producer known for his work with Jay Z, Tyler the Creator and many others; he realised that he and his fellow producers had no problems creating amazing music, but often couldn't find ways to release it, so he set up GLE. Pretty soon two more childhood friends got involved and now we have ourselves a record label!
Why the name?
In New York parlance, the phrase "Good looks!" is uttered when someone helps somebody else out. It is a shortening of the phrase "Good looking out!", as in "Thank you for looking out for me". You hold the door open for someone on the subway so they don't have to pay the fare? Good looks! You see the cops coming round the corner so you send 'em the wrong way? Good looks!
